Club News 4/9/16

posted 7 Sep 2016, 00:02 by Laragh Utd PRO
U6 training continues in Stradone on Saturday morning at 10am. New children always welcome.

Our U8s/U10s training is Saturday morning at 10am. Please remember to bring your gum shields.

Our U14s play Mullahoran  at 7pm in Stradone tomorrow evening(Thursday) and they play Cavan Gaels in Terry Coyle Park on Saturday at 12 noon. The lads have two wins from two games and will be hoping to continue in this vain.  Please support the boys. Training continues as normal.

Our minors played Cornafean in a must win game yesterday (Tuesday) in Stradone and results can be found on our facebook and twitter pages.

Our seniors played Swanlinbar in Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday evening last in the Quarter final of the Hotel Kilmore intermediate championship. We started well and kept the pressure on and with 30 minutes played were 4 points up but let Swanlinbar in and they took their chances with a goal followed by a point to level it up at half time. But the lads came out fighting in the second half  and gave it everything to out play the opposition 7 points to 3. Full time score Laragh 0-20 Swanlinbar 1-10. This now puts us in a semi final to be played on the weekend of 16th/18th.

Our U12 team have been selected to play at half time in Croke Park on Sunday next during the All Ireland Camogie final. This is a great honour for our club and a wonderful experience for the girls and we wish them well. More details are on Facebook  For anyone going to Croke Park Adult tickets are €30 and juvenile (u16) are €5 each on the day. If purchased early adult tickets are €25 each and juvenile €5. Tickets can be bought on line at or from Supervalu and Centra.

Hurling tickets
The names out of the hat for the All Ireland hurling final tickets were Treena Keenaghan, Sinead Cahill and Katie Tully. And what a game it was.

Well done to the Shea Denning, Oliver Leddy and Christopher Dunn who along with Nathan McGuigan Carroll and James Tully lined out for Cavan U12/14's hurling teams recently in Kilkenny. The lads played two Kilkenny teams and a Dublin team and enjoy their day.
