Seniors

The seniors started of their division 3 league campaign with an excellent victory over Kildallan in Ballyconnel on Sunday. Both sides fought hard but Laragh took the lead and maintained it from the start with a full time score of 1-07 to 6 points. Even after the bad spell of weather the pitch conditions in Kildallan were in good order and let the game flow. Laragh got off to a great start with a point in the opening minute and continued to score 1-03 unanswered before Kildallan converted a free, the half time score being 1-04 to 4 points. The second half proved a tighter match playing against the wind with the Laragh back line having to work hard to keep out the Kildallan attack. The lads worked hard and will be happy with the result, as will the management with this being our opening performance of the year. Training continues Tuesday and Friday nights at 8:00pm with no games in the coming weeks due to Cavan being out in the National League.
